While I have my LED gauge project 98% completed, I would like to see if I can do something to it while it's apart....

Does anyone know if there is an after market digital odometer that fits our gauge face odometer cutout?

Also, does anyone have a picture of AutoMeter's digital odometer lit up on a tach/speedo? If they seem to fit there, I might have to resort to forking out hundreds of $$$ for Autometer's electrical tachometer/speedometer since they have a setable digital odometer.

Hm... seems like AutoMeter's digital odometer only has gray LCD.. I wonder if it can be back lit? I know how to reverse LCD screens so that the characters will be transparent and the background to be black (opposite from autometer's setup), but wonder if it can be backlit?

Just for info... if I do this mod... I'll gut out that AutoMeter gauge just for that odometer screen :p

The JDM Legend have a DIGITAL TRIP METER, yet the Odometer is still manual... but maybe you can use the same one and rewire it and relocate it to where the factory manual counter is...

What do ya think about that?

Yea.. I thought about that.. but there's two reason why I can't...

1st is that I can't program it to my real mileage.
2nd is the gauges are very rare to find.

So usually aftermarket ones have programable ones so I can set it to my actual miles.

the DD one looks nice, blue and digitalized. I might get a set, and hack that part out of it.. heh. ...

I'm thinking about ripping apart my guage cluster and installing a full Cyberdyne or Dakota Digital dash set in my coupe. I don't care about miles, since I'm never gonna sell it.

The only think I would need to install it is a piece of sheet metal cut out to the same size as the guage face, cut the holes for the guages, and paint the face the color I want. Then spend the time installing the guages.

i can get yall the digital guages they use on the F1 cars. The standard set runs for like $1200 hat is tach, spedo, 3 or 4 tems guages all on a little cluster lookin pimp i will PM someone the web site but you have to tell me if you want it i would have to order it through the school saying its for the panoz but i would do it to see it haha.
