Does Dinan make good chips for legends? I know that they make really good chips for BMW's but I haven't really heard much about the company when it comes to japanese cars. I have a 1994 l 6-speed coupe. Thanks in advance for your input.

they have a stage I and a stage II chip
Stage I = NO Mods needed = $299.99
Stage II = INTAKE & Exhuast = $399.99
(this is just for it to work properly)
The stage II has been dyno' by a legned member and found
to have about 7HP and about 8lb troque.

We just had a BIG groupbuy, the above sticky "PPP SUX" & "More issues with PPP". Some people had problems with the workmanship, but others was ok.
Me personally I did not feel to much more "PEP" as some people put it, but I noticed that my rpm shifts higher.

So I guess the Dinan chip turned into the BAYOU chip? 7hp is not that much. Was this legend a type 2 6-speed? For the stage 2 chip, what mods would you need? Could you do as little as an air filter an a muffler? Which chip would be best?

Keep in mind that this is across the entire powerband, not a specific RPM

On a side note, Dinan DOES NOT make good chips for BMW's. I have a friend with a superchared 330 (one of a kind at this point) and he had a Dinan chip put in it. He was so unhappy with it that he took it out and sold way below retail just to get rid of the damn thing. This guy does know what he's talking about too. He races that car and owns a motorsport shop here in SF.
