I went to go see two legends for sale.. one was a dark green 94 L sedan.. the other was a gold 91 LS sedan... the 94 had 129k and the 91 had 140k miles.. the 91 was knocking really bad.. the 94 was knocking, but it seems like it was gonna get worse soon... please help. If I look at another legend knocking.. I don't know what to do..! is there any other problems I should look for?

mine was....it ended up being the flexplate being loose to the torque converter.

Its hard to get Honda eninges to knock when you do regular oil changes.

I ended up replacing mine anyway and the had some normal wear on them. the engine has about 60k on it and 32 10lbs bottles of NOS going through it.

I use Mobile 1 syn only.

Dv8 provided a very informed answer. Rod knock is atypical. Before you "run away" have the flex plate bolts checked. Before you buy any Acura, have the present owner take it to the local dealer to be inspected.
