Do I need a new horn?

Recently I've replaced the horn/brake light fuse a few times, although after it blew the first time i figured there was a short.

I discovered that when I turned the key to accessory and hit the brakes, the lights worked, and the shifter wasn't locked, but I blew the horn, and then the shifter immediately locked, and the fuse blew.

The only confusing part is that the fuse blew after a drive before, and I didn't use the horn.

Does this mean its definitely the horn, or what else could it be? I checked the wires by the brake lights and everything seems normal. Nothing has been installed.

More info here

Thanks everyone :)

Check the connector to the low tone horn which is attached to the battery holder. That connector can easily be beat up when replacing the battery. Verify that it is on tight and look at the wires there at the same time and make sure they have not rubbed against the battery holder.

I had the exact same scenario. Its the horn behind the bumper. I took mine off and tested it. It was nearly dead. Somehow it was causing the fuse to blow. Regardless of whether or not I used it.

After that, I replaced the fuse, and no more problems.
