First let me apologize for the delay.

As stated the test pieces are soon to arrive from the cutter to manufacture. Maybe even as soon as this Friday. When they do the manufacture will notify me. In turn I'll contact LegendGS to schedule a test fit to one of his GS'. Remember we are not using my GS to test fit because it had fittment issues from the last G/B. Everyone's schedule is tight, mine, LegendGS', yours. Trust me I want this happen A.S.A.P. but I'm not willing to cut corners. It's gonna be done right the first time. I'll be diz'amned if I'm gonna schedule time to make adjustments to the bars as with the first G/B. It's not in the cards. As soon as the pieces arrive I'll be hounding LegendGS to schedule a test fit. If everything test "A-OK" (baring any other hold ups) I can't see any reason not to have the bars shipped 3-4 weeks from the test fit date. As always, I'll keep you posted.

This may be a dumb questions but...

Is there going to be any fitment issues between a GS/sedan model and a coupe? I know that most items are the same between the two but some aren't...

Just want to make sure I won't be surprised later on with it not fitting in my coupe.

During the last G/B we discovered the coupes hood had more slope than the sedans. All bars were returned and adjustments made. The coupes slope has been accounted for in the current design. To answer your question, there will be no fitment issues, sedan or coupe. As with the previous G/B they will be totally interchangeable.

Just to add, the majority of those who got in on the last buy were coupe owners.

News from the manufacture is, "I made a visit to the cutter today, I should your test parts tomorrow." As always I'll keep you posted.

Test fit went off with out a hitch today. A big thank you to LegendGS for making the long haul. Without him taking time from his busy schedule it would not have happen this soon. As stated it went off with out a hitch, you guys should be very happy with final product. We look to take delivery of the bars in 3 weeks. Checking my calendar that date would be October 23rd. We anticipate the bars being to your door by October 30th. I'd like to thank everyone for their patience. As always, I'll keep you posted.

MLS strut bar added to a stock Legend

I am hoping this bar will really make a noticable improvement to my cars handling. I was wondering ....

My 1994 Legend sedan..............
has 67,000 miles
has no performance mods except a K&N filter
the shocks and springs have have never been changed
and I am still running on 15 inch wheels

Do you think that given the lack of upgrades to my car, will I be able to notice an improvement by adding this strut bar ?

Just wondering .... any predictions ?

 

you'd probably notice a larger difference with a new suspension than adding this bar. i'm pretty much on the same level as you as far as handling, but i'm getting it now because of the price. i'm gonna get new springs and shocks soon, so i figured might as well buy now while i can get it for cheap.

MLS copy bar G/B update!

Some time has passed and the natives are getting a little restless. To keep my PM box from overflowing here's an update:

Finishing welds were done yesterday. As of today the bars are at the power coating plant. They should be back by Friday. Once the bars get back from the power coating process the next step is a final quality/fitment check. To refresh everyone's memory, I'm using LegendGS' sedan for fitment. Reason? My GS had fitment issues from the first MLS copy G/B. Not passing the buck or anything like that but LegendGS is doing me/us a favor adjusting his schedule for this G/B. He's been there each time I called. There's no reason to think he won't be there for this final quality/fitment check. That being said I would venture to say that shipping should begin by Friday, November 7th. As always, I'll keep you updated.

I have the original MLS bar and you will see an immediate differnce the second you put it on I guarantee...

 

question...is the time difference an error with just the schedule or is it an error with the producer? i really don't feel like this wait is worth 250$ when i was told it'd be at my house in the middle of september to begin with. i understand the whole fitment thing, and that's fine by me. but like if the producer is taking longer on their part. then i feel like we should be partially refunded in some way. nothing personal, it's still business. i've seen several mls copies go up for sale for less than this group buy. i could have jumped on any one of those.

but if it's just fitment and just getting it out and stuff like that......then that's perfectly and honestly fine with me, because i'm still excited that it's coming.
