Hey, here is the prelim info.

To get the bar to your door and in your hands it will cost a total of $255.00. We are planning on closing the group buy on August 18th, however we need atleast 10 to get in on this buy.

If you are interested in the MLS strut bar please post your name and email address so we can keep in touch. Thanks

No one likes waiting, and either do I. But this is not "business" and I bet if Fut does make something for his efforts its not nearly enough.

Ya, I want my bar too, but its got to fit when it gets here. I know its better to have it arrive late and fitting perfect than on time or early and not fitting !

Thanks for the update Fut. Keep us posted !

i wasn't saying for money to come out of fut's pocket. and yes...when you hire a company to make you something and they tell you it'll be ready in a certain amount of time it's all "business". when i hand someone 250$ (or was it 255$) i'm not asking for a favor from that company since they've already agreed to do it under professional terms. i was asking if the company that collected the money from fut would refund a partial amount (if it was their fault).

now since it is just a schedule issue with getting legendgs to take time out of his busy life (thanks by the way), then it's understandable. also no money needs to be refunded because there's no actual claim against this company.

i hope i make sense, i'm sorta exhausted from today

Well it HAS been along time. It was not exactly a convenient time to come up with the $$$ for me, but we all did so to keep up with the "schedule". The company making these are also obligated to complete these in a timely manner, at least by the "scheduled completion date, or we should be entitled to, if not a partial refund, at least a discount on future purchases.

Do we have to BE HERE when the bars arrive??? That is another issue for me, cuz the expected date keeps changing, and I had vacation planned.

Again let me apologize for all of the delays that cause this buy to go well past the expected ship date. That being said I do not intend to get in to or spell out every detail that caused these delays. Rest assured that every thing possible was done to keep on schedule. I failed to see these delays coming, for that I'm truly sorry. :(

This is the plan for delivery:

The special discounted FedEX rate afforded me calls for only one delivery attempt. If there is no answer you must pick up your package at the FedEx station. In keeping with the last MLS copy G/B please note that I will send you your FedEx tracking # via e-mail so everyone can be on the same page and on the lookout for your package.

Fut, since you test fitted the bar before they did the maufacturing, my guess is the testing you are doing now is "quality control" and should be completed quickly. If they fit (which they should) can U tell is when they going to be shipped out.

Just real keen, like everyone else, and if we can get this info .... its easier to be patient.

Thanks

You're correct Stu, we did a test fitted on the proto-type. And today's fit was for "quality control". The optimum word being was. Yes people once again thanks to LegendGS the quality control test fit was completed today. Each bar was fitted to his '94 GS auto. All bars passed with flying colors. The bars look good, real good even with a few minor cosmetic scraches (some more than others). Not to worry, they won't be seen or matter once installed on your car.

Enough of that, you guys want to hear about shipping. I'll be prepping the bars for FedEx shipping today. Bars should begin shipping tomorrow. Stay tuned for tracking numbers. As always, I'll keep you posted.

Instead of typing it up again, I found an installation procedure written up by Steve91LS after the first batch. I've made some additions to it though.

It's the same between coupe and sedan.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Installation Tips:
by Steve91LS
Tools/Materials:
14mm deep socket, 12mm reg., 10mm reg., hinged ratchets (if possible), flathead screwdriver, zip ties
Time: 50 mins.
1.) Remove the stock brace in order to position the Strut bar easier (12mm).
(on '94 and '95 Legends which have the A/C line running along the factory bar, remove the bracket that holds the A/C line to the factory bar and put it aside - you won't be needing it. Push the A/C line back towards the firewall and tuck it under factory bar's mounting brackets.
2.) Remove the two bolts on the strut tower nearest the engine on each tower (14mm).
3.) Test place the bar.
4.) As you will see, there is a cruise control cable bracket you will need to remove and a wire harness that will need repositioning on the driver side. Remove the rear cable bracket (10mm) and remove the wire harness from its bracket by using the screwdriver to press on the release (flathead).
5.) Place the bar on the towers and hand tighten the nuts. (When putting the bar on the tower, make sure the cruise cable is OVER the bar) It may get stubborn, so the best way to install the bar is to first align the bar up with the studs on the driver's side. Then from the passenger side, push the bar to clear the top of the strut. It may take a bit of elbow grease, but it will clear and fit.
6.) Torque down the nuts using the ratchet (14mm) 5-6 turns each, then switch to the opposite side and torque the nut diagonally across until tight (like when torquing lug nuts on a wheel). This will insure even placement of the brackets to the body.
7.) Zip tie both the wire harness to the tower bar and the cruise cable near where the original brackets would have been.
8.) Re-install the stock strut bar.
9.) YOU'RE DONE!!!
Have fun!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That's it, that's all. Like Fut said, we test fitted all of the bars to my car, and they all fit.

I'm sure that you'll enjoy the bars when you get them.

Question
Can anyone explain how to remove the wiring harness (on the driver side) from its bracket ? I was not able to do it because I can't figure out how it locks or where to put the flat head to release the lock.

( Here is a tip .... use some WD40 .... I need a new #12`socket .... the bolts that hold the OEM strut bar were so tight on my car they broke my stupid socket ! )

ignore the above. I never managed to get it taken apart so I just bent the metal bracket with a long screwdriver and moved it out of the way.

you don't need to actually unplug it, you just slide it off. the metal holding it on is kinda like a U, you just move it to the left and it'll slide off. well i think there's a little thing you need to push in. but it's not the lock closest to the engine that you have to worry about.

i just got mine today, and installed it in about 30 minutes. i didn't remove the OEM bar at all, but on the passanger side there's a big group of wires in the way of one of the bolts. and i couldn't tighten it all the way.

as for performance, i noticed the front of the car feels a lot stiffer, but i'm still moving in my seat. i would say i feel all benefits, but once i go to a track i'll let you know exactly how it performs, because i can't really take hard turns around my area because of the traffic.

i also think once i tighten this last bolt, it'll feel a lot better.
