It will work. The Crutchfield salesman is simply going off the computer database. For some reason, I find that a lot of companies have the Legend years a little off. For example, they sometimes or often even list the G1 Legend as 86-91, and the G2 as 92+. That probably confuses a lot of salesman around the industry who are not familiar with the Legend.
