Dont do it! you will hate your self!
trust me i dont want to. But finances and home situation may force me to do it to get what i want, which is a 4 year degree. you see most likely this fall i will be driving to a big school thats about 1.5 hours from home. I will be driving a civic that gets 42 mpg so i save money on the cost of living at the college.

meanwhile, while im driving this civic, which would be mostly all day, every day, mon-fri, my coupe will be sitting at home taking up space. a certain evil cunt known as my stepmother will see this as non essential, since i will be spending most of my time in another vehicle. She may make it where i have to sell the legend.

now im not sure on this yet, but i could very easily see this situation arrising. I in no way shape or form want to EVER get rid of my coupe and i mean that more than anything. But between a $4,500 car, and a 4 year degree, i would obviously do what i had to do to get the degree. im hoping and praying i dont have to get rid of it. I would never forgive her and im not too sure how i would handle the loss of my legend.

ive admitedly and surprisingly become VERY attached to it emotionally...

3.2legend, it sounds to me like this is something you've considered carefully and over a long period of time. As much as I love the Legend, I was in similar circumstances and made the same choice. The car I gave up though led me to the nicer car I have now (the Legend), which also took me cross country to where I'm going to school now =)

I will agree that you're making the right choice.

thanks man i appreciate it. But no, other than for absolutely having to sell my legend, honestly the thought would never enter my mind. My plan if i get to keep it is to replace every part with new OEM parts and make it brand new again, including paint.

mind you, its not like its in bad shape at all. Its actually in very good condition. but it is showing its age as lately the problems come one right after the other. I fix a problem, another problem takes its place that i have to diagnose and fix.

but the car....the car is the best car ive ever had and honestly one of the best cars ive ever driven, and ive driven many high dollar luxury cars and sports cars (not owned, obviously)

thanks man, i needed that. I mean in anyone elses mind there would be no questions about it. They would get rid of it and take the school .

its just that there arent many coupes like mine that are in the condition taht its in (at least not that i ever see). its just so hard when you finally find that treasure (in my case a well maintained acura legend in the exact trim and body and motor configuration that i want) and put tons of time working on it making it even better, as well as spending all your money on it, and then have the possibility of having to give it up.

I just have to think to myself "i get the degree, then i can have more money to spend on legends and parts to restore them to like new condition"

I need more coco bread and beef patties lol. My boy is trying to have a g2 legend b4 the next meet.

Anyone still interested in the photos I got?

P.S. My name is An and I was the former Legend owner.
