Just bought the driver's side door lock actuator from the local dealership. Anyone ever installed this thing before? This will hopefully alleviate the constant locking / relocking and alarm going off for no reason. The quote for install at the dealership was 120....

You need to remove the inner door panel and plastic cover. The window has to be fully raised. On the Coupe, and I also suspect the Sedan, the rear glass run channel must be removed. You next remove the door handle lock rod and latch rod from the unit. Mark the location of the pin on the latch rod before removing it. This pin screws up/down on the handle latch rod and if it moves too far out of adjustment, the handle will not release the lock mechanism. Sometimes a piece of tape can be used to mark the location. Disconnect the wiring connectors. Remove the two screws and the one mounting nut. Remove the latch assy through the opening in the inner door panel.
CAUTION: Be very careful not to bend/kink the handle cable. Instructions (albeit limited) may be found on pages 20-6 and 20-7 of the 92 CPE SERVICE MANUAL.
