Exactly how does a guy remove the door panels without breaking any clips/screws off. I've looked all over for screws and stuff, still won't come off. I've done lots of stereo installs, but this thing is way different. Fords and GM's are different of course. Any pics or something would be helpful.

door panel

If you see any round plugs there's screws under them. Did you pop the little triangular piece where the side mirror is mounted? If the panel is actually loose and "hanging" from the top, I think the top "lip" is sitting on edge of the door. You might "encourage" it by lifting upward. Good Luck!

Removing door panel

I went to the salvage yard and was removing interior parts among other items and while removing the door panels (2dr coupe) with all screws out all plastic clips I was having the same issue. Due to being at the salvage yard I was not too worried I was using it as an educational tool if I broke something o'well, of course I would do my best not to. I used a screwdriver at the end and carefully pried it upward and it slipped off. Just take you time and be careful. O' yea, remember the wiring on the door panel also.

As 1genacura said. If you can open the door panel from the bottom and look all the way up....the only thing holding the door panel in are the clips along the top edge. Use a flat screw driver to carefully pry the panel up. There's also a screw at the front of the door panel that's hard to see...right in front of your speaker grille....look there also.

1.) Remember to remove the trim plate around the door handle. There are 2 screws covered by the trim plate.

2.) On the door panel itself there should be: 2 screws at the back edge, 3 screws at the front edge, and 1 in the armrest.

3.)There's also a large screw that is also in the hole in the armrest that doesn't have a trim cover on it.

If you have all of these...the only thing holding the panel on are the electrical connections and the pressure from the top panel clips.
