How do you get tbe cover off the front speakers I can get the Top part out but the bottom seems stuck do I just need to pull or is there some screw I don't know about

Just had the door apart tonight working on the window switches. The speaker grill is held inplace by three screws that have to be undone from the back side.

putting some 6½s in i see.. cool stuff.. i was lucky to have a loose door panel that made it easy for me to take off the speaker cover.. have since gotten the panels fixed.. however.. i have do 6½ rears that need to be 5¼s ..

to take off the door panel.. the have some screws all along the bottom. one to the right of the speaker.. shouldnt needa take it fully off to reach the screw hodling the cage on.

Thanx guys to take off the door panel i have to out all the screws? if not which ones?

I don't know what year you've got, but on my 89 Coupe taking out the door panel was kind of a PITA. You have to remove all the screws (I forget how many). Once you're comfortable that you've found them all, you need to give the bottom of the panel a few pulls to free it from the snap fittings which hold it in.

Once you freed it from those snap fittings, then you'll find that the top of the panel is still stuck. There are more snap fittings at the top of the door (attached to the window slot). These can be tough to pop off. You have to pull up to get them out. Be careful not to rip the door panel material when pulling.

Once you've got the panel completely off you'll see the screws that hold on the speaker grille.
