Hey, I've been searching the forums for a while and haven't found the answer to my question yet. My side mirror defrost button doesn't light up when I push on it anymore (it did last year). I'm wondering if I can just remove the arm rest and not the whole door panel to take a look at it.

I already tried remving the two screws underneath the arm rest but it still seems to be held in place by clips or something. Do I try to pry it off or is there a certain direction to push on it?

Alright thanks, I was hoping to avoid removing the whole thing, but since I'm there, I might as well align the window too.

I'll post back with what I find out about the mirror defrost button.

STOP. Mine did it too last year. Sprayed a little wd40 in it. worked it a bit and it started working again. That part is only available as the whole assembly. What you'll see is that in the dark if you hold the button down the light will come on. It will take a few days after you spray it to soak in really well and free up whatever gums up. Contact cleaner might work better.
