i've smelled cars with aftermarket cats and some of them have this smell.
but it can also be caused by bad egr valve or bad oxygen sensors....
did you have the smell before you replaced the cats?
the rotten egg smell is sulfur.

no my check engine does not light up.but wont a bad 02 sensor the check engine come on.i do use 93 oct gasbl420 said:sufur is an element.... and unless you have the check engine light on then it shouldnt be the egr valve or the o2 sensors.
but my think is i put in a new mufler and a cat.thinking that it would fix itbl420 said:that egg smell is due to sulfur... which has to do with the exhaust system...
my catalytic converter is new.my legend is in the shop know any info to let the thec know what to check. thanksLegendLuxury205 said:I will second bl420, its usually the exhaust system when you smell sulfur.. Most of the time its a leak in the catalytic converter that produces the smell. He said its not that.. So its prolly o2 sensors, it could be a leak of some type (oil, radiator, brake fluid) , but they smell a lot different..
