EGR/Manifold Cleaning

I've been putting this off for about a month but finally have this scheduled for Monday. I was originally going to only clean the EGR pipe but decided to do it the right way and also pull/clean the intake manifold aswell. My problem is that im on a final warning at my complex for working on my car haha (under my paid $40 cover parking slot). So I have to have one of my mechanics do it for me. Problem is I don't know what to offer for the labor? It's not going to be in a shop and I will help him do it (maybe 40/60 w/him doing 60% of the labor). Any ideas of what I should offer to complete the job?

The job isn't too hard but it takes some time.

Using a rifle bore wire brush would easily tear down the build up.

My suggestion for working on your car is you should find a spare intake manifold and egr.

Open her up, clean the piss out of that spare and paint if desired. Then on your day off drive to a large parking lot and change your intake manifold on the spot. Bam. Mission accomplished.
Doesn't sound like a bad idea. Ill hit up my local JY and see what their asking for them.
No problem, I did the same thing on mine being mine is a daily driver.

Glad to help

That's a great idea. I forgot that I actually have a spare intake. Duh!
