I've been thinking about replacing my engine mounts, but I have no clue which ones I need to replace. Also, is there any alternative to the dealer for getting the parts? I went to acura automotive parts, and they only had two mounts. Did anyone notice an improvement when replacing these?

Thanks again.

well the first question is why do you think that you need the mounts,to answer you first question let me stat with this your acura legend has 4 mounts one on the back against the fire wall then the 2nd is just in front the radiator then you have what they call the torque mount on the side just below the a/c pipe on the driver side and the lastk one is the transmission mount below the transmission, well I have all of then for sale let me know,I know the dealer cost like $150.00 each for the back and the front ones but i dont know about the others, good luck with your legend
I JUST CHECKED YOUR PAGE AND I SEE THAT YOU MENTIONED THE STERLING GUESS WHAT THATS WHAT I DRIVE AND JUST FINISHED PUTTING AN 90 ACURA LEGEND IN IT BECAUSE MINE IS GONE SO THE MOTOR MOUNT THAT I HAVE FOR SALE WILL FIT THE STERLING AND THE ACURA AND YES YOU CAN USE ANY STERLING PARTS FOR THE LEGEND AND YOU CAN GO THE OTHER WAY TOO

I think I need mounts because when I hit the gas, the engine twists pretty bad, and also, when I change gears the engine rocks back and forth as well. My friend told me my mounts were bad. Do I really need to replace all the mounts?

if the engine moves back and forward yes you need the front and back mount,if you open the hood and just look thru the bottom of the windshield while moving the gear from reverse to D and D to reverse you wolud see the movement of the engine and that will tell you how bad it is,I can sell you the front and back let say for about $90 for both they are used but in good shape, well let me know I also have alternator, power steering, headers, sensors anything you need for the first generation I have two engines that I m parting out

Mounts also go bad if your E-Brake hasnt worked for a while and forces the engine to rock back and forth when the car is in park and on a hill of some sort.
