144 mph in my 91 Coupe 5 speed...that's 2 weeks after i first got my legend...Ever since then i haven't reached that speed...
and once i went 140 mph with a full car (5 ppl) ...
But it does get pretty damn scary at those high speeds...but loved every second of it

it's definately fucking scary at those high speeds...but loved every second of it.. :D

in my legend? 110 is the most i'll go on so cal highways. maaaybe squeek up to 115..

but when i had my rx7, and was a 19 year old asshole.. ahha, i was known for consistently going 150-160

Going over 110 mph with a Koni & Eibach suspension, for me, was one of the scariest things I've done. The car bounces too much when you go over uneven pavement. I get the feeling like I'm about to loose control. I never felt like that with the stock suspension.

:boink:

Wow, 110 is scary with your "upgraded" suspension??

I drove 120mph with my stock suspension for amost 25 minutes and my girlfriend ( who hates going fast ) didn't even realize I was speeding until I slowed down to 87 mph and was pulled over and given a $290 speeding ticket ! ( lucky he didnt catch me doing 190 kph - 120 mph just minutes earlier)

For me the Koni/ Eibach upgrade just allows the car to take corners better . For high speed, straight driving I prefer the stock suspension.

Wow, so you not only risked your life, but the lifes of 4 other people? Man, Bravo on that one.

I cant believe this thread has gotten this far, so much blatent law breaking.

about 125, in my stock LS...for about a mile...
amazingly smoooth....and tight

did 115 for about 10 miles on the way back from Diaz's after getting my HG repaired...that was nothing but scheer exhuburishhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

you boys that are up at 140+....imprezzzzzzzzzzzzzive!

AND not to be corney, but please take the greatest of care when you get your flippin whips up over 90...speed aint no joke...and at the point you lose it, it is already to late...the prior post is right, it is what it is, and the sensation of rolling in your fine asss Leg at a full buck is sweet, but....no need to glorify this...
stay alive and enjoy your ride...

well u live in ny for one i would never attempt to do that setup and those speeds in ny unless i live out west or in the south, where the track is much smoother

Sometimes in life you get the urge to try dangerous stuff. Some people tie a rope to their ass and jump of buildings or bridges. I run my car fast and hard every once and a while.

call me what you will, but ive been too scared to take the coupe into the triple digits. speeding tickets FTL.

7300 RPM in D4.

Stock suspension, weight 3230 lbs, 235/45/17 Proxes, Bayou S2, CAI/Full Exhaust, Ported E.M, D/S Brembo's, Ceramic Pads, GW, TBB, EGR, VS.

Not really sure how fast that is since the needle was burried, but it's damn sure over 160.

The hood was shaking so violently, I was sure how long it would hold on.
And oh yeah, it was not fun at all over 150 MPH. This was in 05 with the fuzz on my trail.

I'm also scared to get tickets thats why I don't push the car that often. I normally do it early in the morning, always at the same place, when no one is around. The condition have to be safe, meaning, no one else on the road and no one but me in the car.

137mph according to speedo before I did the engine swap in 06. It was still pulling, and felt very tight and controlled, that was the eery part. I thought it would be like other cars and start shaking and stuff and that I would max it out to see what it could do, thinking it would max at 130 or something. But it didn't and it showed no signs of stopping so I eased up because I realised the cars balls were bigger than mine at that point.

fastest i ever hit was 130

mods include Injen Short Ram Intake and exhaust

it was fun because i was leaving a legend meet and another member was in his legend...so we both just went for it and ended up doin 130...BOY that was fun, i don't mind doin it again anytime

but i constantly do hit 115-120ish on saturday mornings on 95 south

hmm. its probably best not to name roads in this thread. id much rather just assume everyone here visits the track regularly....

If you
Brag about racing,
That is a sure way to get a mod to
Listen, and for this thread, that isn't a good thing.

Speedo indicated 135, just for the record ;) It had more, and so did I, but conditions weren't condusive.

I've changed my wheels and tires from 205/55/16 tires on 16" wheels to 225/45/17 tires on 17" wheels. For me, this made a big difference how my car handles at high speeds. Now the car feels more grounded and less bouncy. Before the change the car would hit hard if I went over a pothole, now it feels like the suspension is actually working and dampening some of the pothole/road shock. It's like the suspension has more room to travel. Also, feels a lot more comfortable. Must be the wider tire and slight difference in height.
