B:thumbsdow rilliant?
Take an old car, thats had a few owners, pour on 150,000 miles, 10 years of use (and abuse) needs a few repairs and fill it with a few friends and see how fast it will still go. Cool fun, just like playing Russian Roulette.

"So punk, you feeling lucky" or just have a death wish ?

:hide: :giggle: ( going to hump a mods leg now, lol )

my type I only went to about 110 according to the speedometer. I couldn't push it more than that for some reason. I had a passenger and my sound system, so it was pretty weighted down. I will never do that again though.

Very well put!

I have done 240 by myself once when I first got the car. Stupid move for sure considering I didn't know the mechanical history, nor the tire ratings (one of which I found out was giving out in the rear). I will never do that again in the Legend.

Faster i ever went a coulpe of times

145 type 1. soon to be type 2..

In my Legends I have yet to go past 110mph (I really do not like pushing my Legends that much because they are just too nice and I want to keep them running).

However, in my 98 Accord V6 Coupe I had the speedo bouncing off the 160mph mark heading down to Phoenix (though it was a slightly downhill grade at the time). I still could have gone faster but the tires REALLY started to howl, they were HR rated and really started to show it around 155mph. That car has a HUGE 4th gear. In 3rd the tach and speedo run 1:1 (position wise), it is possible to run close to 121mph just in that gear.

I have to give credit to the J series engines. I owned that car since it had 45k miles on it and drove it REALLY hard, got rid of it at 122k and it was just as quick and reliable as ever; had sort of a cheap feel to the interior but well styled.

I just got my legend so i havent tested it out yet. I don't think it need to b/c i already have an indication of what it can do by reating this thread.
P.S. A little bit of extra info..... A little birdy told me G2 CR-V's have a speed limiter at 110. Just thought you should know. :)

130 in type 1 91' sedan 230k+ miles - could've gotten up to 140 i believe - caught up to traffic on freeway - well you know that one freeway that's part of that one track -- anyhow bhg 2 days later.

So what ... my guess is your pit crew rebuilt your motor overnight, right ?
