I have a `95 Type II engine that I'm thinking of selling. (not sure yet, depends what interest is here). It is out of the LS Coupe 6-speed that Joey & I have been parting out, has 140k miles on it, does not smoke, has no HG issues, no overheating issues, and was well maintained. (I have spoken with the original owner several times, and she seems to be a maintenance nut, regular oil changes, tune-ups, etc).
Timing belt was changed about 6 months ago, (as was the clutch & some other items). I was originally going to install this engine into BlackBird so that I could rebuild that engine from the ground up, but my mind is going a few other directions right now. (like maybe just doing the top end in Blackbird, ie; valve job & hg, etc., since it's not burning any oil, I know the rings are ok, so why re-do the bottom end?)!

This is a complete, great running `95 Type II engine, that I would not hesitate to drop in any of our Legends right this second! Would like to get $750.- for it. Please email or pm me if interested so I can decide what I'm going to do (myself).
Thanx All !!

I am checking on another legend sedan that has a BHG- If I can get that price somewhere reasonable; we might be able to do business again. Oh and let me know if Joey is still thinking about that Climat Cont. conversion- I am about to put the sensors and the digi unit on ebay- if they don't get any interest on the forum.

Hey guys, I don't get it - :headscrat - y'all are always looking for a good Type II engine, yet no one is biting on this one - I wasn't sure if asking $750. was a deal or not, so today I called half a dozen junkyards pricing Legend engines, and this is what I got;

Type I Legend engines from Suwannee to Macon, GA., sell for $900. average,

Type II Legend engines " " " " " start in price at $950. with 'No Guarantee', :bs: (except that it runs, Period), :bs: and average $1400. to $1500. !!! (the higher price has a 30 day guarantee, some 6 mos.)
Is it that this is not the time of the year to sell off an engine? :wavey:

Just curious, no other reason for my questioning this, (honestly). I will prolly just keep with my original plan of putting this engine into BlackBird whilst I rebuild her original one.

`95 Type II Engine Needs to Go!!

Ok Ladies & Gents, this Type II engine has to go I need to clean out garage out, & have to put some $ back into our savings acct. from all I spent with Kenso. (who, by the way, did the most awesome work on BlackBird)!!!
Will take $750. for a great 1995 Type II from an LS coupe. Willing to take payments, if that's what the buyer needs to do. As a bonus, I will throw in the brand new 1 Ton engine stand it is attached to.
Honestly, if there are no responses by the end of this weekend, I will most likely post this on Ebay with a reserve higher than $750. - but I'd prefer a Forum member get this good engine.
Tic-tock, please buy me!!

Um, you're not serious, are you? (NOT being sarcastic one bit). Nah, I can't do that - hey, a Type II like this would go for an easy $1000. at your local junkyard, I believe, and I know that including shipping would help sell this in a heartbeat - but I bet shipping would be $200./+ ! Just to ship the 6 speed tranny to blkonblkcpe from GA to MN was about $150.!

I would buy that, but the price would be more than double when shipped here to Finland.:giggle:
I think that there is not so many type 2 engines here in Finland.
I dont know any.
Wow, so even coupes that only came with a Type II engine here in the U.S., (94 & 95), models in Finland still had Type I engines in them? Why would Honda/Acura go to all the trouble of making different stuff like that? (actually, dumb comment - they just decided not to do manufacturing upgrades there as they did here, ergo saving themselves money. No suurprise there, eh!!)
Would love to see inside & outside pics of your `93 Finlandish coupe!
