ok first thing i was gonna ask is about our fog lights or whatever they are. the g1 sedans have that fog light button and turns on those bright yellow lights in front of our headlights. one of mine is not working (i suspect its the bulb) and i dont really care for the color of them. i was wondering if i can put the same kind of xenon bulbs that i put in my headlights, in the fog light part so i can turn them on and they can all be the same color. i hope this yall can read this i dont make since a lot of the time. thanks.

next question is im going to install a new clutch soon and i was wondering if anyone knew what kind of price installation would be. i will have the parts but i need a price of installation at a shop. around what price range do you guys think. thanks.

third and final question is recently i typed in my vin # on carfax and it says its been registered as flood damaged or whatever by someone in NJ that had it before me. the cars in perfect condition and it works great so i was confused when it said that. o well. thanks a lot for the responses, peace

Fog lights...The best thing to do is to pull a bulb out and see what color it is. If the bulb is amber, replace it with any color you want. If the bulb is clear, that means there's a color reflector providing the color of the fog light. When the fog lights are on, they're amber (yellow), correct? If there really is a reflector coloring the light, your color change will be tougher.

As a former mechanic, I can tell you that most places won't install parts the customer brings in. That's where the shop's money is made, marking up the price of parts. It's been 7 years, so I couldn't tell you what the going rate for one is now.

Nice Legend! ;)

thanks a lot for the info highway. the fog light things in front of the headlights right beside the grille, when i turn them on they arent amber, they are bright yellow. i know it sounds weird but whoever has a sedan knows what im talking about. thanks for the info im gonna open them up and see whats goin on. are you sure i cant buy my own part and get a shop to put it on? i bought a cheap master cylindar and got the mechanic at skill lube to put it on. the only thing is he didnt garuntee or have a warenty on it unless i bought one from him. i didnt care. thanks peace.

check out this thread http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23093
for tips on your clutch and repairs.

wish i knew more about fogs and the flood damage, sorry. if the forums can't answer your question, you might want to just check out your local parts shop and looks at their bulbs, see if they'll fit in the same socket.

Would you rather have 18's? I'm thinking about 18's b/c I want the car to sit a little higher and I will be lowering it about an inch after that. With the 17's I'm thinking after I lower it, it might be too low to the ground b/c I have speed bumbs in the neighborhood and don't want to sccrraapppe !!

What do you think considering you have the 17's ??

Generally shops won't install parts brought in the door by the customer, but there is an exception to every rule! ;)

Do you have your owners manual? It should say in the back...
