They replaced the gaskets and the knock sensor all free of charge and gave me my car back today! They had given me the option of just giving the car back and I'm so glad I didn't.

Has anyone here hooked a sub up through the factory stereo? I'd like to know how it came out or if I should just go get an aftermarket deck.

??? Who fixed your head gaskets for free? Thats amazing! Did you just buy the car or something and the seller was trying to make good on a sale?

Haha ya I just bought it from the Honda dealer here. They could have told me to get lost but I do advertising business with them plus they have a very good reputation for customer service. They probably would have done the same for any customer. It's nice to know there are still a few dealers out there who care.

Thats awsome bro! I just picked up my second legend a week ago. During my search I would call every local dealer and ask if they had any legends and there reply was that most likely they will never find one good enough that they could actually sell to the public. Any trade in they got would go to a auction or a small time dealer. You my friend lucked out in the end it sounds like!

Good luck with the wip and watch that temp needle! lol

Dude, those are the gayest glasses i've ever seen. And you don't need an aftermarket deck. I'm running a 12' rockford with 600 watt amp. I just tapped in off the back 6*9's, and it sounds real good.

It just doesnt seem like it could sound good to take speaker level inputs, convert them to line, and then back to speaker. Plus all my music is on ipod so if I stayed with the bose I'd have to spend money on the DIY or the $100+ converter

Can't hurt.

Is there any sort of break in period with the new gaskets that I should keep the rpms down or anything like that? I remember that being the case on some complete engine rebuilds, but I wasnt sure about this.

stock deck with subs

Well when i first got my SE i put 2-12'' subs in the trunk and used my stock deck for 2yrs. if sounds alright, but all you need is rca converter, just go to best buy and get one and then you can hook your subs to your stock deck, that will hold you until you can get a new deck.

Ya I've been watching the temp like a hawk. Put about 250 miles on it (Including a steady 75 mph drive for about 100 miles today) and it seems all is well.

Either that or blakonblak is right and the dealer put some of that $50 magic head gasket sealant in haha.

Btw have you been severely screwed by a few dealers or something? There are alot of shady ones out there, but you will find a good one from time to time. They make so much money that they CAN afford to have exceptional customer service, most of them just choose not to.

On the flip side when I was selling cars (for a very reputable dealer) I saw quite a few customers try and rip us off.

And I notice just about everywhere else anyone goes (jiffy lube, the grocery store, the mall, etc...) they are getting robbed just as bad and don't seem to mind.
