Ok, you've got the pictures, that's freaking awsome.

Do you have plans on making them available to fellow Legend owners? If so any thoughts on pricing? I assume you'll dyno her when you get it back in the car.

Perhaps some installation pics?

I mentioned before they will probably need to be installed from below the car. Is this how you plan on doing it?

What about the oxygen sensors. The pictures are a little small and it is hard to tell but I didn't notice the sensors. Wouldn't they now need to be placed on the downpipe?

I am very curious about these as I have my engine in peices at the moment and this would be the perfect time for such an upgrade.

WOW i like the way the sides on the engine block were painted red! Cool idea!
Those are the valve covers only. The valve covers appear to sit very low because the Legend engine is 90 degrees as opposed to other 'V' engines that are normally 60 degrees.

Long tubes. i havent been abble to locate the O2 sensors? were are they? Also your engine being a TYPE I were is the pair pipe connection from the driversside manifold to the intake manifold?

Im asuming anyone interested in these headers will have to at least take off their heads to install them.

Schuttrp. E-mail, nick@demandred.dyndns.org.

I am extrememly interested if you can produce a second set, how much it would be, and when it can be done by. I have a Type II setup so I don't need the outlet for a breather pipe. Just a spot for the oxygen sensors.

I have my engine completely in peices for a few more weeks only...

That's so freakin sweet.

I was thinking about painting the head covers as well. Damn you beat me to it.

Anyway, great job.

very nice. you have done what i would have liked to do...DO SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE SAID WAS NOT POSSIBLE!!!

I guarentee you that as soon as you get that monster dynoed...you will turn your skeptics into curious bystanders...such as myself...and the others that are patiently waiting for hp and torque figures.

good job.

I did at first find it strange that your headers came out whe DV8 offered his 'stage 1' thingy...but maybe you had your reasons for holding the info back until you did your thing. Actions speaks louder than words...and pictures speak thousands of words. Maybe you read how EVERYONE on the forum seemed to have talked down every new person that mentioned getting headers done.

I also think that it is great that you are sharing information as opposed to DV8 who is protecting his 'designs'.

Schuttrp, very nice work man, very tasteful and reserved use of colors on your motor.
Will you be making these headers available to the rest of us??

I don't think it's fair to criticize a business owner for trying to protect his/her intellectual property. DV8 is trying to make a buck. He has every right to run his business any way he wants.

And if you, the customer, don't like the way that DV8 runs his business, then you have every right to take your business elsewhere. Of course, the bottom line is that any business owner who p*****-off his customers, will quickly find that he has no more customers. But that's a choice that every business owner in the USA has the right to make.

Isn't this country great?

Cheers, Cap

There is a difference between intellectual property and helpful info. Posting the blueprints would be giving awat too much. There are a few people here that have made real good gains, and a few that claim to have, and a few of them won't share their secrets. When someone has a design they want to protect, I can understand. But when someone has a method or procedure they wont give away, because they want to have a "secret", I think it nulls the point of being here on this forum. And I definitely am not talking about DV8, I really can't put a finger on anything in particular about him. However, I do know some other members that make claims about something great, and keep it "secret".

Heads: Competition Valve Job, Gasket Matched, Polished and Ported

Ross Forged Race Pistons: 11 to 1 compression

Intake opened up and gasket matched

Dynoed Remanufactured Injectors

wouldnt all these things significantly change the dyno numbers? how are you going to know the specific gains from just the headers and down pipe?

No one said it was impossible. I think others said it would be nearly impossible to get long tube headers on the car without either removing the heads or removing the engine to get them on. In this case, the engine was removed from the car.

Good work by the way. Too bad I'm selling my Legend. It would have been nice to have some headers.
