But seriously, I'm running into problems with the free cash I had saved up and I might not be able to use it right away as I had planned, to even though I'm selling the Legend I might have to wait a little longer than my Feb. Date. Oh well, life always throws a wrench in your plans I guess

 

at least you aren't lacking money for things that you do need

To Schuttrp or anyone that has this info....
How much for the set of headers? Just headers, no package or anything like that. I would love to wait for DV8's full setup to come out, but I have the cash now and i'm just too damn impatient.
I talked with a race car chassis machinist today and he looked at my Legend, smiled and told me that it would take a lot of work but that he would do it. I haven't got any price figures from him yet, but i'm supposed to go in on Monday so he can get a better look at what'll need to be done. He's a friend of a friend, so i'm sure i'll be able to get them for a real decent price. But the most important thing is to suppport fellow Legend enthusiasts, and if I can get them through one of you guys, that would be the best. So if I can get some prices PM'd to me or posted or whatever, it would be greatly appreciated.

was your grille crome then u painted it body color??? cause i know thats not the "gs" type grille thats recessed , i wanted to get one like yours i hate how my Gs grille is recessed.

ya kno what, i think that it was painted by the guy who owned the car before me. I was wondering why the paint was slowly chipping away and it looks like a nice chrome underneath. It makes sense, but I believe my car is an LS. At this point i have to re-paint it with good old duplicolor #5324.

 

I'm ready to buy a set of these headers, keep me posted.

I think this is the car that went from a low 16 to a low 15 with all that work done to it.

It looks like a 4th pipe going into the 3. It is shown in the first picture. Just look a little closer.

exactly why I always trash people's N/A Legend threads. Unless you do something drastic, there really isn't much power to be coaxed from these motors. And Schuttrp's car is a good example of everything done right, but the results being disappointing.

Well he said he got a stock time of 16.1-.3? That alone is a sloooooow time. Maybe he didn't know how to drive it worth a crap? Why can't we get any power out of our motors? I really don't think its engine design or anything, I think its that no one is willing to put up tons of money for R&D and those that do just slap on high compression pistons and extremely long tube headers without any focused design and no tuning. He increased his time by a second. A stock 5-speed can hit 15.2 with a good driver and he hit a low-mid 16 stock.

What am I getting at? Don't diss on the motor if you haven't seen what kind of power it made between stock and those mods. To do so based on what a horrible driver hit in the 1/4 is just being ignorant.
