Front bumper

1156 or 1157?
Why does everyone tell me a different story.

www.sylvania.com says 1157.

I'm pretty sure it's 1156.
but if you have the chance to actually look at the bulb, it's the bulb that only has 1 circular piece of metal thing at the connector. if it has 2 metal thingies those won't fit. ok this sounds weird but if you take a look at the bulb you'll see what I'm trying to describe.

Like I said, its 1157...to back it up, I've got my old PIAA 1157 box sitting on my desk
I got it.
Thanks for the love.
It's just that I ordered 1156.........
I'm not sure what the hell to do.

Who here has 1156's installed?

to make 1156's fit, you may have to shave the tab on one side...if not, I think the reverse light is a 1156..you can put it there

lolz :D

that's the exact thing I did when I was changing these bulbs. I bought the wrong ones for the bumper and ended up putting those in the reverse light. Now I have hyper whites in my bumpers and blue for my reverse. :D

what the hell?!

1156 = single filament bulb.

1157 = dual filament bulb.

to my knowledge. Legend bumpers dont come on constant and blinking.

=)

THE OEM BUMPER SIGNAL IS 1156!!
NOT 1157!!

I know cuz I changed mine to Amber, and I bought 1157 first and it didn't fit, then bought 1156, it fits perfectly.

well i'm gonna have to say 1156 on this one, but i've tried 1157's and they worked without a problem, since they're dual filaments though they run hotter, thus 1156 is a better bulb for our application :)

Actually one easy way to tell, look at bulb from the side, you'll see 2 little pegs sticking out from the base. 1156 the 2 pegs are level with each other, 1157 one peg is high than the other.

There are 2 slot in our bulb socket that the 2 pegs slide into, 1157 should would not slide in properly.

They had better not be 1157! I bought a set of APC LED bulbs for my turnsignal. The Extremewhite.com application guide said 1157. My body shop told me I am suppose to use 1156 in my Legend. I have spent the last two months fighting with Extremewhite.com over these bulbs. Please tell me the 1156 is right.
Later!
