Sup guys

How do I remove my front door speakers? Is it necessary to remove the whole door panel? I have a 93 ls.

I recently purchased a Pioneer DEH-P6400 receiver which has 50x4 watts. When I raise it to the 5notch the sound is distorted. You think if I replace the factory speaker with pioneer 4 way 280 watts in rear and pioneer 220watts 3 way in the front the sound might improve. I intend on gettin a couple of amps soon but need to know what to do in the meantime.

Thanks

First roll down your window. Then you have four screws to remove, two are behind a small plastic cover behind your door handle. Use an awl or a pick and take the cover off and unscrew. The other two are in the bottom of the armrest. After the screws are out all that is holding in the panel are plastic panel buttons. Just grab the bottom of the panel and pull, don't worry your not going to break anything and you will probably have to pull hard. Just pull evenly and you shouldn't have a problem. Now pull the panel straight up because there are clips that hold it in place on the top. Disconnect all the terminals on the back of the panel and your in business! When you go to put the panel back on go from the top of the panel down. there are some metal clips that correspond with clips on the door right up by the rubber seal where the window rolls down. Match those up first and then installation is the reverse of disassembly.
