I finally made the difficult decision to part ways with my beloved 1995 Acura Legend LS Coupe (6-speed manual).

I purchased the Legend in 1998, certified preowned from an Acura dealer in Northern Virginia, one prior owner (end of original lease), about 25k miles. The Legend has been garage-kept nearly the entire time since then. It was my "everyday car" for about 12 years, infrequently driven the past 10 years. I thought it had a blown head gasket about 10 years ago, turns out it was a blower fan electrical issue that's since been repaired.

Current mileage is just under 200k, timing belt and water pump changed for the second time at about 180k, new tires about the same time, multi-disc CD changer replaced about 10 years ago. I installed a new battery earlier this month, immediately drove the Legend about 50 miles round trip for DC vehicle inspection (it passed), then the transmission failed literally one block from my office garage in Rockville, MD. Other known issues are blown A/C compressor, broken rear antenna (although the antenna motor seems to function), dim (sometimes almost non-existent) lighting on Bose radio headset, no power in cigarette lighter.

The exterior and wheels are in great shape, interior is good considering age/mileage.

The Legend currently is sitting in my mechanic’s lot in Rockville, MD, inoperable until the transmission is fixed, so no test drive capability prior to purchase; after purchase buyer either will need to tow the vehicle from current auto repair shop or have transmission repaired/replaced by that repair shop.

Serious offers only, buyer must pay via cashier’s check.
