Did u have your TCS on? That hurts a little.

Today afternoon, I was little pumped up - i got on fwy in my 91L with the A/c on and punched it. I think this VW Jetta guy was trying to race me or something. I just blew him off - i think he gave up after a mile.

With my a/c on, I had amazing power - i took it up to 90 and i knew i could have easily gone more but didn;t wanna risk it.

Legends in general are slow off the line..

In my 93 auto coupe I sometimes do this..

Without using the brake torque method, I sometimes just give the gas a strong push off the get go, then release it just a tad.. Then punch it again..

I found that by doing this, by the time you release pressure off the gas, you are arlready going anywhere from 15-30mph.. At that speed you can punch it and get some good acceleration from the car rather than just WOT off the line..

It would probably slow your time down on a 1/4 mile run, but I have never raced my legend at the track so I wouldnt know. It just seems that when I do this, I get better response from the engine and tranny..

Anyone else try this??

i do have TCS and a did forget to turn it off but i dident spin and it dident activate so i guess it couldent of hurt me in this situation
Actually, I have found that even the when the TCS active light does NOT come on, the TCS still kicks in. I know that if I turn off TCS it launches a lot quicker (and chirps 1 and 2). With TCS on, it never chirps, and I rarely see the active light come on, no matter how hard I launch. Since the lights actually blink when TCS is active, I'm guessing that the first blink takes a bit of time to actually turn on, and by that time the TCS is already off (but you've lost 1 sec off you 0-60 time!)

Anyway, I have no actual proof or anything, just my experience.
