There are other components on the electrical side as well that are interchangeable in the Honda / Acura family: for example, the main relay in our G1's (Mitsuba RZ-0063) is the same as the main relay in similar-vintage Civic / CRX / Integras; and the rad fan relay (Mitsuba RC-2201) is used for a bunch of different things: condenser fan relay, keyless entry relay, fan relay, fog lamp relay, abs relay, etc. on various Honda vehicles.

May not be helpful, but .....would it be possible to rotate the back section of the alternator a quarter or half-turn? If this could be done, it looks like it would possibly fit ....
