One thing I would like to add is in the FUEL PUMP section. You may only use a fuel pump from a 1988 NOVA if it has the 1.6L Twin Cam engine! That is all!

Now that sounds like a bad CV axle. If I remember right the G1 auto trannies lock-up the differential when you shift them into 1st. This would allow it to move the car using the axle that is still good. What clued me in on the axles is the fact that it is grinding when shifted to park it grinds and still rolls. The grinding means that the final drive is still spinning when the car is shifted into park! I would seriously check those CV axles. Have someone get in the car, hold the brake and shift it into drive while you look at the axles to see if either one is spinning freely.mevalnb said:ok i got a big problem but i cant figure out what it is but assume its something to do with the tranny. my car wont move in drive or 2nd i have to start it off in first then go to second then drive and its fine but once i stop it slips right out of the gear again. and when i put it in park it rolls.and sometimes when i put it in park it makes a grinding noise. i have tranny fluid its not dark or burnt.does anyone have any ideas what this can be ?????![]()

will this fit in place of an 89 legend alternator with a change in the pulley, and if so how hard would it be to change the pulley and could a shop do it for me?immeraufdemhund said:Alternator:
90-93 honda accord. You'll have to change the pulley, but everything is good.
