will a g2 engine fit in a g1 legend coupe. WIth out much mods needed. OR should i do a whole rebuild to a g1 engine. Because i plan to keep my legen running more then 200k miles, I heard 200 is its max. And so i will need to do something with the engine. And is there anything else i should worry about?

G2's will not fit into a G1.
They have engines that are lined up completely different.

One is left to right, the other one is top to bottom. So no go on that one.

200k is it's max? hardly. I've seen them go well over 250k. If you keep it maintained, it should last well over 200k.

Like Eric said, 250k would be typical, a good portion of them make it to 300k! well taken care of that is.

I thought that guy was from Canada? If you had enough money, you could do the swap, but it would probably cost more than just buying a G2 to start with.

200K is defiantely not the max. There are many G1s with well over 200K on the original engine, and smany over 300K. There are many G2 Legends with wellover 100K, some over 200K, and a few I've heard over 300K.

You could always try putting NSX heads in the Legend engine. It's the same engine series, so it shouldn't be too hard to make them fit. There's a guy on the forums in So. Cal that will hook you up with the electrical on the swap for free if you want to come up with the engine and parts. That would be interesting to see. The other engines that are the same series are the 94-97 Accord and I believe the new 3.5 liter engine in the Odyssey (sp.) minivan.

NSX engine would fit? or just the headers? Imagine getting 290HP out of your legend. Wow. I bet a NSX engine would be expensive. A minivan engine fits too? I can imagine the torque. Hmm... I bet with enough money I could get a Viper engine in too.

The NSX headers wouldn't fit. The heads probably would with a little modification. You would need a lot of modification to fit the whole engine in since it's mounted so much differently than the Legend's.
A Viper engine would be just about the hardest engine there is to put in a Legend. Nothing's impossible, but you'd need some serious cash to do that swap.

Nope. Remember, the NSX is mid-engined.

good God, can you imagine a Viper engine in a Legend???? man that would be an awesome sleeper, cept the exhaust note would prolly give you away, an another thing I think you would have to convert it to rear wheel drive, since it would probably just boil the front tires to oblivion

i have heard that the NSX engine would fit becuse it is the same block. the only real problem would be triying to find a wrecked one some where to get the engine or ordering one. but it would be nice
