General Question

Don't mean to sound like an idiot or anything, but does anyone know if Legends have a 'modulator valve' for the transmissions? I'm having problems with my tranny and a friend mentioned that those are usually a problem with cars transmissions and I've searched all over trying to find one and all I find is one for the ABS. Or if anyone else has any ideas on small repairs that may work instead of having to replace the whole transmission and then the engine shortly afterwards I would greatly appreciate it!
