Well, it was nice being here for as long as I was. It sure helped me with problems that I have had with the car. After the transmission went out I really needed a vehicle and my parents didn't believe that fixing the Acura was the best thing. So I purchased another vehicle, a 1994 Chrysler LHS with 119,000 miles.

I'm selling the Chrysler (Yes, the chrysler) for $3,200. I wish everyone with an Acura Legend good luck in the future, and thanks for being there for me if you ever helped. Bye.

You tell 'em lycan!!!! S-10s rock!! I have a 89 S-10 Blazer. Bagged, shaved, and 400 Small block conversion! I even have the factory Digital dash working with the 400ci engine!
Damn you . I always wanted a blazer... Lol. For some reason, whenever I look at pictures of finished vehicles, the blazers always seem to stand out more and look so much better.. Oh well. Maybe after this vehicle is done. How is your gas mileage?

Well that was rude. I have an s10 with a v8 in it right now, and I all it needed custom was motor mounts and the wiring, that's all. It doesn't need front coil springs exchanged like you said. I'm rebuilding a 350 right now to drop into it, the block is already at the machine shop to get hot tanked, line bored, and cylinder bored. This truck will perform easily and a lot better than my other s10, which has a 305. It sounds to me like the people you raced that had an s-10 with a v8 had 305s in them, which are slower than 4.3's, plus they get worse gas mileage. I think s-10s are the most customizable vehicles out there, since they're domestic and they're everywhere, so parts are easy to come by. I plan on bagging it soon. Thanks for the interest though. Bye.
They didn't have 305's, they were 350's and mildly built at that :

Turbo 350 Tranny with Stage 2 Shift Kit
Chevy 350 longblock with a street/strip comp cam
RPM AIR GAP Intake Manifold
Demon 750CFM Street Carb
GM Corvette Alumium Radiator
Dual Electric Fans
Custom Motor Mounts
Custom Headers
Custom 2.5inch Exhaust with Flows out back

If you want pics I can get em for you, they were personal friends, I was there to help build the trucks.

Getting the tranny to fit was kind of tough since we had to beat the Tunnel in allot to make clearance, everything else was pretty easy.

It also depends on what the rear end gearing is. Unless your Legend is turbocharged, I highly doubt you could have taken them on. http://68.188.235.233:2888/stuff/S10VSWRX.WMV This truck was in the 12's with a 350 and street tires, can your Legend do that?
But compared to a Legend, an s-10 can't turn worth crap. I've never driven a vehicle that took corners so nicely as the Legend, the steering was really tight and comfortable. And you're right about that.

The S10's that run 12's are fully built 350's, you can get the same times with a fully built C27 Legend motor as well, and if you turbo it even better, but what I'm getting at here is, the S10 with a V8 in it can never touch a legend in areas other than brute 1/4mile times. The legend is so much more car than a S10 could ever wish to be, thats why when I saw you traded your Legend for a S10 I was disgusted. Hell I can get S10's around here for nearly FREE.

The saying goes for a S10 V8, Power is nothing without control.

There's no replacement for displacement.
And Acuras and Hondas around here go for really low, since I live in mid michigan, which is mostly GM products. Everyone is either a hick, *******, or black, I rarely see anything foreign, other than mercedes and BMW. And everyone is interested in trucks. In the local autorv online, there are 10 pages of hondas, and 44 pages of chevroletcars, and 77 pages of chevrolet trucks. Michigan has the most extremes of weather than any other state. -20 in the winter, and 95 in the summer with 90% humidity, sometimes worse, so its necessary to have a vehicle that can handle it all. I'm not a truck man myself, but I do like SUV's. Full size trucks are too hickish for me, but my dad's Duramax Turbo Diesel is pretty sweet... and fun to drive. I just think s10s are cool when they have big wheels and are bagged, plus 2nd gen v8s arent very common, so it adds to the fun. I guess it's just people's interest in what they want to do. The Acura had a super clean body, but the back power windows fell down all the time and didn't work, there wasn't a key lock in the trunk, it was just a hole since I didn't have the clip for it, and the sunroof had rust in it, so when it rained water would leak in the interior. Acura transmissions are hard to get around here. I just wanted something I could easily fix and cheaply. Building this 350 would normally be cheap, but I'm going with roller cams and the machining is going to be $400 on it.

Haven't posted on here in awhile, so I figured that I would.
I traded my 1994 LHS for a non-working 2000 Sebring Convertible and fixed it. That is now what I'm driving for the daily driver.

The v8 s-10 is about done, too. I went with an L98 from an 87 Corvette and threw throttle body on top of it. It has nice power, burns the tires at half throttle. Just need to get an exhaust job for it.

Video of it running... I miss this forum.. Cya guys.

Right!
All I had to do was trade the 94 LHS and a laptop I got for $10 for that 2000 sebring. I don't think gaining $4k on the trade is a bad deal, do you honestly? ;)
Plus, I never have had problems with Chrysler vehicles. A lot less problems than GM vehicles.... I HATE Pontiacs...
Should I start a new thread on the truck in the lounge, or post stuff in here? But thanks for the compliments :)

There is nothing wrong with mopars. Im a die hard mopar fan but the 80's-early 90's car are trash and Diamler Chrysler is definitaly doing bing things these days

ps My daily driver is a 95 jeep grand cherokee 5.2L 4x4 the thing is better then both my legends 'sept on gas : )

Yeah see I respect that...its just like you said though...that the 80's AND 90's were not at all kind to Di/Chry...the whole K cars and Cab Forward thing probably sounded good on paper...but realistically was something else all together...but now since the Mercedes aquistion/merger (however you wanna look at that one lol) things really are looking up for them. But I gotta be honest, I STILL wouldnt buy anything made by them pre mid 70's...

Wait, you have a Jeep that can out handle and out brake a legend? Huh....I'd really like to see some pictures of your suspension setup, lol.

Oh, and I didn't mean this in a mean matter. I was being facetious.

Facetious \fuh-SEE-shuhs\, adjective:
1. Given to jesting; playfully jocular.
2. Amusing; intended to be humorous; not serious.

Well, since I've had my car for a few months, and I've just now decided to keep it instead of selling it for over $2600 under blue book, I'll tell a little about it.
I was previously driving a 1994 Chrysler LHS that was very reliable and dependable.
Image

It had 126,000 miles on it. Had bad paint, beautiful leather interior.
Anyways. I drive by my neighbor's house whenever I go anywhere, and I saw that his sebring was sitting half way in the garage for about 2 weeks. I decided one day to walk over there and talk to him about trading his car for mine, but then I found out it was a 2000 and knew he wouldn't be interested in trading down years.
Well, I drove by his house one day and he saw my car, deciding that he liked it he came over and talked to me about it.
He told me that since there were so many years different between the years and 30,000 miles, that I'd have to put money into it. I told him I had no money at all to put into it since it was all tied up into my s-10.
A few days passed, then he contacted me about trading again, since his only working vehicle (his van was down too) was broken, so he really needed a vehicle so he could go back to work.
Anyway, we kept talking for a few days, and I finally gave in into giving him my laptop (which I had obtained for $10) and build him a 500 Mhz computer, plus trading my LHS. He gave in and decided to trade.
This is the vehicle I got after I helped him clean out 100 LBS. of paper and crack pipes. (Not joking)

Yes, those are noodles. There was also an entire can of coke spilled into the rear passenger seat.

Took camping.
Image

Installed Blue LED's in the instrument cluster.
Image

Limo tinted rear window and 20% on rear-side windows
Image

Installed amazingly bright fog lights that I get flashed for all the time
Image

Interior currently.
Image

I installed a trip computer too, which shows what direction you're going, outside temperature, average MPG, current economy MPG, hours, etc. OEM part.
There's also a 10" Kicker in the trunk that sounds really good and a Kenwood amp. The box is tuned to 35 HZ and is 1.7cubic foot. That thing can get low...The head unit is a Panasonic touch-screen cd player. It vanishes to completey black when off. When on, the chrome inside of it is reflective. Very cool.
Image

In my opinion, I've improved it amazingly.
Thanks for looking. :)

Here's the s-10 I've been working on.
Video of it with the 2006 Mustang mufflers I put on it. (Sound shitty at idle since it was getting way too much fuel, I've now fixed that but my new ministarter went out 3 days after I bought it :(. I'm waiting for a replacement)
Image

Engine when I got it. It's from a 1987 Corvette/Camaro with a roller cam.

Engine after rebuild.

smartass comments to follow...

Okay, let me get this straight...you've been saying goodbye for 1 year and 7 months, have bought and sold/traded at least 2 cars in that time (only one of which was actually an Acura), have repeatedly disrespected the Acura Legend, consumed valuable A-L bandwidth/diskspace with so many pix and specs I'm starting to wonder if I'm sitting in a stale, '70s-decorated GM showroom going over war stories with one of their most obnoxious chain-smoking, coffee swilling salesmen-turned-weekend-mechanic....AND MANAGED to garner props for that :ghetto: 'olds grill???!!! wow. you, sir are a :bs: MASTER!!

Just IMHO...

Gotta admit Bruthamans' pretty funny, may even have a point. Especially coming back and giving non-Legend updates, umm a chevy truck? No chev forums out there? I can appreciate the skill and time taken (nice motor), but wish it was a Legend getting all the good treatment and attention.
But I may be out of place saying anything as I'm still a rookie here, and it is an entertaining read.
