Tomarrow I go to pick up my new Legend. It's a 1992 Legend L with 333,000 on the clock (hard to believe but I know it will last). It's 5-spd and runs great! I'll have some pics after the weekend of it with my other Legend. Anyone else have one with this kind of mileage?

heres a pic of my 200k legend to hold you over

I will post pics asap. The car overall is in great shape. Motor is nice and clean the only issues are the headlights are hazy and the front seats are a little ripped. The odometer doesn't work anymore so the miles are even higher than 333k. One more issue is the 4-3 downshift. It will not go into 3rd from 4th unless I put it in 2nd then shift to third.

if it doesn't have any serious damage, the sheet metal, glass, and interior is worth a grand or so. that's one of those "get it cheap and drive it til it dies" types of cars. :D

I'm buying it from a dealership I used to work at. they have had the car over a year. The have sold it bought it back and also loaned it out to many customers. The car has alot more than 333k the odo. doesnt work anymore. the car drives better than my 200k Legend. I drove it from cape cod down here to providence with no problems what so ever. it is NOT a headache and I don't care if it turns into one. I was gonna buy the first pos I saw I need a car asap i crashed my caprice and my girlfriend uses my legend. i need a car this week to get to work and this legend just happened to be available. i am gonna end up paying 1500 financed no money down.i will drive it till it dies.

Dude, so what if you disagree with him. He's happy about his purchase, and on the surface from what he says it sounds like it's a good fit for him. Let him enjoy it.

Your bankers must be the old guys in the washington mutual commercials.

Hey if all else fails you build your credit more with an easy finance.

not a bad deal, i'm betting the VSS might a the culprit in the o.d. not working, its one of the things that stops working when it goes. I'd buy it, esp its a stick, it's a very rare car. i'd love some pictures when you get a chance.

The car is great. The steering is very responsive and it shifts smooth. I just drove it about 700 miles on a trip to and from New York today. Not one problem. I will have some pictures soon.

Congrats... Looking forward to the pics.

I'd also like to clear the financial situation. I had $130 to my name last week and i crashed my chevy caprice. I needed that money to get the car out of the tow place. I had 0 dollars after that and no car. I went to a guy i know who has a dealership and told him i needed a car this week but i dont have any money. My mom let me use money for ins. and he gave me the car with no money down and he is financing me out of pocket i just throw him some money every week. I need a car to get to work i dont care if you guys think this is a good deal or not i wasnt looking for a good deal i was looking for a decent car to get to work with and i was looking for it asap. The car smokes a bit and a lifter sometimes ticks but it will still get me to work and back.

No need to justify anything to anyone on here. You did what you had to do and as long as you're fine with it, thats cool.

Enjoy the car.

hey, you should try some seafoam for that lifter tick. just pour it into the PCV hose (to the intake with the engine running) and let it sit. use about 1/3 can each time and let it sit at least 15 minutes between treatments. it will smoke like crazy, but it will take the carbon buildup off the valves and pistons and will help that lifter tick.

No need to justify... I remember what it was like back in the day.
You got the car, it worked for you, that's what matters...
Enjoy and get some pics!
