Well, I been looking for a legend for a while, and have been watching this 1994 2dr LS. I will attach some pics, and Ill post the Carfax. Let me know what you think. There is some potential odometer roll back. But I think with some TLC I could get it and keep it in good shape. Seems to need a major tune up. I asked him about the timing belt and so forth, said he just bought the car 3 months ago so he doesnt know. Asking price was first at 8500, then 8000, and now 7000. As I have been following it for a while, the price keeps going down. He also says the front brakes need changing, and the struts are bad. I would also suggest a tranny flush and full tuneup. Considering that, its a beatiful car, some blemishes on the paint. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Well, it is hard to tell anything from the small picture. It does look nice from that picture though, but it is so far away to really see anything. For $7000, maybe it might be okay even with the problems listed, but I'm still worried about this car. Too many things can go wrong real soon. Timing belt and water pump change will be close to $1000, brake job will be about $300+, who knows about the history of the radiator, and if it wasn't attented to properly, you could be looking at a head gasket repair down the road. I personlly would look for a car that had a better history, but if he goes a little lower than $7000 for a 94 LS Coupe, it might be worth investing in the repairs.

I have more pics. And the Carfax as well. I could take take of the repairs myself as far as the struts, brakes, radiator, and tune-up. The more serious ones such as a timing belt, water pump, head gasket, and maybe a tranny flush I would have to get done. I have bigger pics, I had to shrink them to post. Let me see if I can host them and post the links. The car is an auto. But ChrisK, if you could help me out I would appreciate it. Here is the Carfax:

Once they start rolling back the odom I would not touch it. Who knows what else they have done. You are asking for trouble. Plus, you mentioned timing belt, rear brakes and struts needs replaced. Thats already close to 1500 bucks amd possibly more. My 2 cents

Hey Jose, I was that was true, but it doesnt look like it. Thsi car was listed on Ebay, and on a local car website. On Ebay, the mileage was listed at 153789 miles. But on the car website, it was listed as 130k. When i drove the car, it was around 131k. I like the car, it is beautiful, but im scared about it shaddy background. Plus the guy doesnt knwo much about its service history. He said he just got is 3 months ago, and if you look at the Carfax I posted, this past February, was when the title was issued for 123,349 miles. So what you think?

Man, I know the lure of a Legend can drive a man insane,
But honestly, I'd really keep looking man.
For reals.
I dont wanna rain on your parade, but for all you know, that car may need a 2nd timing belt replacement soon, and you may think it has 150, but it may have 170k ... who REALLY knows? ya know?

run as fast as you can!!
7k for a car that has almost 2-3k worth of work needed, shady owners AND history = trouble.

Run Forest, Run...there are far more superior cars out there...IMO, THAT CAR COULD BE FROM TX, and they shipped to the Legend Capital of ATL and we said HECK NAW, SELL IT TO SOMEONE UP IN TN:( :p

DONT DO IT....PLEASE

Thanks fellas! The thing is $8k is my budget, every TypeII coupe is see around that price range is got something shady going on, or way over 100k miles. I really dont mind the high mileage, I have taken care of all my cars on my own. I actually would like to buy a low priced car, and wouldnt mind putting the money into it to make it perfect, it is isnt the best already. He let this one go for $7500. I think I shoud have gone for it. If the engine went bad, Im sure I could put another one in, I would have doen the shocks and springs anyways, and upgraded the brakes. So why not upgrade the parts on the car that are bad already, instead of switching good parts out for performance parts? That has always been my philosophy. Better luck next time i guess!
