Hey I just got my timing belt and water pump fixed! :D Now, while in the shop they informed me about some other problems. It seems my Y pipe has a crack in it and thats why my car sounds weird. They said it could be wire feed, is the Y pipe hard to get at? Also, my check engine light is always on, they said its on because my crank sensor is bad, I guess its located in the distributor. Anyone else have this problem?
The y-pipe isn't hard to get to, it probably needs to be taken off the car to have the crack welded. If the Y-pipe is cracked from being thin and rusted thru, I'd opt to install a new pipe.

There are two crank sensors of sorts; one is a TDC sensor that's in the distributor, the other is the crankshaft position sensor that's located behind the cam sprocket on the front cylinder head.

Since the Check Engine light is on, you should be able to tell which sensor by counting the LED "blinks" on the ECM.
