What sort of grill do you have on yours? I thought this was ths the only sort of grill you could get on a 2 door.

A question about those pictures to those of you in the know. That is a 88LS so shouldn't that have some wood in it?
Any grille from a pre-'90 for a Coupe bolts into supports in front of the radiator. They don't attach to the hood as the '90 grille does only. If you're looking for a '90 grille there's one on Ebay right now !

In my case.....when I rebuilt the '89LS....I made it into a '90 LS by adding the tail lights, wood grain interior, trunk spoiler and '90 grille. The body shop figured out a way to attach a '90 grille to an '89 hood. Good luck !

If you have the 1990 grill and want the 1988 grill I will swap with you. I believe there are a few other parts needed, but nothing too dificult. Mine is in great shape, but I could easily sand it smothe and take it to the chromer and have it looking better than new. Let me know.

There is a big difference in the grills. The pre 1990 grils are mounted between the headlights. The 1990 grill is mounted to the hood. I do not remember if you have to swap the hood to do this, but I am willing to make sure that all parts are properly transfered. I do know that all this information is available with a search, but I am not up to that this evening.

The hoods are not different. There are 4 support brackets that you attach to the frame in front of the radiator. Then you attach the grille to it. Why would you not want the grille for your '90 to still be attached to the hood ??
By the way......here's a '90 Grille attached to an '89 Hood. I had to remove the old grille and supports and adjust ( bend down ) the hood release arm in order to make it fit. As I had a '90 I could see the differences......and what I needed to do to do this retrofit.

Not sure what you mean ??
i have a 90 but i needed a new hood so i got an 89 hood but i wanted to keep the 90 look so i had to rivot some metal so i could attach the grill to something the 89 hood doesnt seem to be the exact same as a 90 as if its missing spots to support the grill.
i got my car painted about a year ago it was not a high dollar job so the paint used for that piece does not bond to plastic or bend so it just chips off you can see here

You are correct....the front holes are the same along the edge of the hood and my body shop had to fabricate special brackets for the the 2 rear supports of the grille.
