Guage Cluster Question

I just ordered the Reverse Indiglo Guages from Pro Car Parts and I was wondering about something... We all know that there are two small lights that light up the guage cluster and we all know that the Legend's needles dont light up... Sooooo I was considering removing the lights in the cluster to get the full effect of the reverse indiglo BUTTTT by doing this will I not be able to see the needles in the cluster???

So considering how many sets of these are out there, someone must have had a successful install and I am wondering what steps need to be taken to get those needles blingin!!
