Yeah it's overpriced, but it's worth the features it provides. The ribbon cable inside is about 6 feet long and can not be spliced or replaired. Once you take apart the clock spring good luck getting it back together. When I got my new one I tried to take apart my old one to fix it and make a spare, but it was very fragile and alot of the plastic would not hold together. I don't see how it could be rebuilt to be made safe and reliable.

Thats the way it starts. My horn quit 2 months before the rest went. I had to make a u turn one day and I heard a snap and followed by the ABS light comming on.

Air Bag, Horn Cruise, Radio controls are connectd by the clock spring. The thing is glued together and the part that breaks is a thin plastic ribbon cable thats about 6 feet long.

Logic, If you can fix it I'll pay you to fix mine. I'm good at tedious work like that. I couldn't do it. You retty much have to break it to open it. Let me know how the repair attempt goes... :)
