I'm waiting to hear back from the shop about the cost of replacing the heater core on my 90 LS Sedan.

Anyone had this done and know what I can expect to pay?
Should I not use the heater/ac until this is fixed?
Do I need to worry about rust inside my car from it leaking in floor under the passenger seat?

don't know what you'll have to pay.
But keep the insides as dry as you can. use a blowdryer etc.
After they fix it, make doubly shure that it is dry. If it's dry, then you won't have to worry about rust. How bad is it leaking? if it is very bad, don't drive the car. How much water in the floor?
If it is much DO NOT LET IT GET TO THE ECU under the pass. seat!
hope it helps,
B

I've never had to replace the heater core....

....::knock on wood::

I would estimate you'll have to pay A LOT, I'm afraid. :( It's not the cost of the parts, it's the labor involved in getting to the parts that need replacing. According to the book, the dashboard has to be removed in order to get to the heater box where the heater core resides.

Rust? As long as it dries out and doesn't stay wet very long, I wouldn't worry too much. Sponge up as much as you can. The floorboard should be painted so rust shouldn't be a big issue.
