Heavy rattling when bass is on a little.

Hello, I have a question. My speaker in the back (behind passenger side) rattles when any song comes on that uses base like rap, I usually ride with the windows down and I need to turn the system up a bit, even if I turn the base all the way off it rattles. So just an hour ago i got in the back seat and pulled off the black plastic just enough so I can stick my hand in there, I lightly held and pressed down on the rattling speaker, and it stopped rattling and played beautifly, but when I let go, rattling AGAIN. I tried being ghetto by putting tape on it but that didnt work, any other ways?

did you check if the speaker is blown or the cone is ripped?
did you make sure the screws are on tight?

it just sounds like your speaker is loose, if you can hold it down to make the rattling go away.
since it was night time, I couldnt see anything, but I felt around and did feel any rips. If I lightly held down the center where the ball is it would stop. The rattling DOES sound like its ripped, but I didnt feel anything. Also if I held down that fram a little it would stop. Is it possible to take that rear dash bord thing completely off? I could only get it a little bit.
are you talking about the stock speakers? if so after all these years it probably wouldn't hurt to get a new pair. the first thing i did when i got my coupe was switch out the rear speakers and door speakers. any speakers you hold in the middle like you described is going to sound better the cone isn't travelling as much thus decreasing the vibration which causes the rattling noise. you probably need to get some better speakers. try ubid.com, ikesound.com, thezeb.com, for like 100 bucks you can get a dectn pair shipped to you.
yes tis ripped, its the little ball in the center thats ripped. Any regular solutions? Im not going to get new speakers until its my last resort.
there was a post somewhere where somebody said the used some glue or adhesive... might have been silicon or something. They just glued it back and left it for 48 hrs then plugged it back in and it was good as new. Search for it.

thezeb is dead my friend... out of nowhere they just disappeared.. I bought my 15 dollar profile 3way coaxials speakers off of them. I only needed it for about 2 weeks so that I can have something to replace the stock speakers while I wait for my 3 way components.

ninous... if you go cheap it will still sound better that stock. at least it did with me.

IMHO our car deserves dynaudio! :D
