doesn't sound like your tranny is bad... does it make grinding noise or any noise when shifting?

Maybe your accidentally locked the shifter??

so, when you pressed the button to pull it out of park, it would not go? When you put the key in the slot next to the shifter it went and you drove home ok?

Is the key hard to turn or does it just not want to go into gear? If the key is hard to turn, the ignition switch harness may be going bad but if the key turns OK, the shift interlock control module may have shit the bed. If the horn doesn't work, check your cruise control as well, If neither of them work, it's new clockspring time.

I know when my hork doesn't work, I'm in deep shiz too because my wife gets pissed off.

 

well i tried to locate if theres any shift unlocker ..but the only way to unlock the shift is to put the key in the compartment beside the shifter and do ti up from there..and also ..i think futureshop messed it up because i had my new car starter installed day before ..i think something happend there..not good..by the way ..do you guys think its gona be expensive to fix this problem ? thanks

There's your problem. You have to splice into the ignition switch harness for the starter kill on an alarm and also for a remote start. Bet they fucked it up.

 

ok ..so if its the case ..then futureshop should be responsible for it ..and any idea how much it would cost me to fix it ? and again ..i dont see any relation between the starter and the transmission getting locked ..or well may be theres a connection ..help me out guys.. :sadwavey:

 

ok ..heres what it is ..i went to futureshop and they said its not their fault and they are denying any help ..i asked them to take the auto starter off but it didnt work either..any idea how to fix this shifter lock / no honk / no ccruiser issue ..your help is much apreciated..do i need to buy something expensive or some ?

 

take it back to futureshop and explain you problem to them and tell them it was working fine before you brought it to them
