I pulled up infront of my garage, about to back in, when the car died! I was shocked! I cranked it up and backed it in. It stalled out again as I put it in gear. I cranked it again and reved it for a min. the rpms droped to 500! I got the car in the garage. I ran it for a while between 1500 and 3000. It still idled abot 500. The lights even dimmed due to the low rpm. This freaked me out. I drove the car around the block, about 4 miles. I ran it pretty hard, hopping to warm it up or whatever. When I got home it still idled at 500rpm. It didn't stall out anymore, but I have no clue what is going on. everything was fine this afternoon when I parked it. I am already going to the dealer Monday, so I guess I will have them check it out. I know I cant take it to ATL to my shop in this conditon. Pleae if anyone has had this happen let me know. The body shop did have to remove the engine, so I am wondering if they might have messed somethig up. The engine has had a vibration at 1500RPM since I got it back. Will this ever end!

when did they remove the engine, whne you had it repaired for the wreck, or recently? I would have to say check to see if all of your vaccuum lines are on, check to see if your oil and coolant are right....it is also possible you are not getting enough pressure somewhere...but I do not want to speculate on this one...have you done your 60k or 90k service? I think you have 70k or something right?

First off you have to remember I have just put 4k on the car since I got it, which puts me at 104k. I am still verry new to it. The engine was removed at the body shop when they replaced my entire lower front end. They also had to replace an enginge mount, that is how I know they removed it. As soon as I picked it up I noticed the vibration right at 1500 RPM. I have also noticed that if I leave it running parked for a while it will some times over heat. The Idle problem only happened last night. I drove it about 6 miles today, and everything was fine. I am scheduled to be at the dealer Tue. all day to get my alarm fixed. I am planning on taking the car back to the body shop tomorrow. My mechanic still has not inspected the car since the wreck. Man, Egging that guys house for those girls WAS NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!

if your car overheats at idle, you can blow your head gaskets...that is why I said I didn't want to speculate.

You need to check and see if your radiator has green monsters around the top (lip) or anywherefor green coolant - an indication the radiator is broken.
Check your upper and lower hoses....Then, you need to think about replacing the thermostat - $20.00 parts. If the radiator is faulty I would replace it right away...they normally die on Honda's around 80-100k.

As far as the vibration at 1500, I would have them check to see if it was secured properly...may need to be retorqued.

So far this car has had two new radiators. I really don't think that is it, but the connections is a definate possibility. I am not to worried about it right now. I will have it in soon, and it is more reasons to work on it. Once I get it fixed I will start on something else, I am like all you others. It never ends!
