well i wasn't going to post this but after reading both stories with imran, i'll say that i had somewhat of a bad run-in with him.......and he'll probably put the blam on me.....this happen a year or 2 ago..

so heres my story...i bought the philips 6000K hid kit...from autolamps online....it cost $569 i think....i never got around to install it......it was in brand new condition...never installed...i only took it out of the box to take pics....

well as some of you know autolamps reversed the harness or something with some of the kits....its no big deal and can still be installed and works fine.....do a search if you want to know exactly what is the deal with kit....

well i sold him the kit.......and he thought it was messed up.......i told him what needed to be done and he installed the kit in his car....it worked and everything was cool....

about 2 or 3 months later...i get an email from him saying how 1 light is bluish, while the other is yellow and wants me to call autolamps to get him a new one.....i told him basically no way and that was that....

let me say though, that i'd never do business with him again

i'm just telling a story (that happend when him and i did a transaction).....

no one is "ganging up" on him....maybe he should conduct business in a different manner and we won't "gang up" on him.....

as my story says, i didn't get ripped off by him....it was just more of a hassle then it probably should've been....

also i'm not dragging anything out......i wasn't going to say anything because a) it was so long ago
b) no one was ripped off....

however i feel obligated to tell my story after reading this one.....

Imran didnt have that much to do with the deal if you would actually talk to people about it. He didnt have his car, he knew it worked when he last had it, and he wants to help out in any way he can, but why would he if someone is going to bring all this crap to the board. He didnt bring this to the board.

Even it was sold with DOA guaranteed or AS IS, money should be refunded (full or partially) because of the waiting period.

On the other side, this topic shouldn't be discussed in public forum unless someone was hurt or the transaction was a scam. It should be resolved privately... In addition, DJpolak should have tried something more than phone calls or emails in resolving this kind of problem... I mean 6 months of waiting is a lot, you should have cancel your order after 6 weeks.

Anyway, you could file a small claim in your local court - hey that's more than $20 minimum so it qualifies.

I've known imran for more than 2 years, i know he wouldnt lie or cheat anyone out of their money. Shiet this is the same guy that let me borrow $250 when i really needed it two years ago without meeting him in person, its the same guy that i let him use my house for a week.If imran knew that the item was in that condition i know he wouldnt of sent it out. Mike diaz was not at fault because he was just shipping what he was told to ship out. Imran has told me about him not able to ship out the parts since he did not the have the part with him. I was in his car before he turned his car over to Diaz, and the antenna worked fine.

Jigga your comment had nothing to do with this topic. When imran had the issues with the bulbs, he did not put the blame on you. You just wanted to add more drama to this subject.

Imran and DJ should finish this subject on the phone. We have nothing to do with this.

thats the thing dood. He didn't know if it was in good condition or not. Mike D explains that he only knows the antenna goes up and down. But reception was never checked. I wouldn't want to pay that much money and wait for 7 months for something that doesn't work

From what I can understand from reading The conversations between the two of them (DJpolak & Imran). It seemed that DJ wanted to be refunded 20 Bucks and keep the part. Thats not how it works fellas. Imran said he was more than happy to take a refund when I talked to him a couple weeks ago, but DJ was saying he wanted the money to repair it.

Now,

1) If you sold an Item that was known to work and didn't know it had any problems, would you ship out 33% of the money he paid you to compensate for a problem that could merely be cosmetic?

2.) When you're buying a used part you're buying a USED part. If its faulty dont beat around the bush, just get a refund, as Imran would have done, or keep it to AIM or PM's.

3.) To come on here and try to get a group of people that have known one man for years and the other for a few months to take the side of the one for a few months is ridiculous.

4.) If need be, we can start a thread of happy buyers that have had no problems with his sales.

yeah but the point is....he actually emailed me saying that one of the bulbs was yellowish.....about 2 or 3 months later.....he wanted me to do something about it.....

THATS LIKE ME BUYING RIMS AND DRIVING ON THEM FOR 2 OR 3 MONTHS and calling the seller back and saying i have a bend in one, can you fix it????

Ranger, i'm not siding with anyone....i'm just telling my story and saying i wouldn't do business with him again.....i feel obligated to since i had a somewhat bad experience with Imran....thats the facts.....

Also in the post, Mike Diaz says that the antenna was rusted, but it worked in his car.....but there was no radio in his car, so he couldn't tell if it had reception???????????i don't get that part

so someone knew that the antenna was rusted and that type of rust doesn't happen over 6 months....bottom line is after 3 months the money should've been refuned and that part should've never been shipped

i mean guys, luckily it's only a $65 antenna, but what if this was $900 worth of rims....as in one of the posts by another person on this forum....

jass, my comment has everything to do with this.....a) djpolak is complaining b) another guy in a previous post about gs rims was complaining c) i felt obligated to tell my story......

just because you had a good experience with him, doesn't mean everyone will...

exactly.....now if i bought something from someone, don't you think it's the duty of the seller to know if the antenna works or not.....

also it doesn't sound or look like the antenna broke, which would probably be the case in any shipping damage.....

if there was damage to the antenna causing it not to work....there would be more exterior damage than interior.....and that rust doesn't happen over 6 months...

i sell a lot of parts to people over this and other forums and even locally and if i had a part like the one i saw in the pis'c i would throw it out even if it did work because it has to be cosmetically ok too.i only sell the cream of the crop parts from the car's that i salvage.

I'm in the market for a trunk pass thru door and mounting assembly. It's the door that allows long cargo to pass into the center of the rear interior. This was a standard option on Canada and UK Legends for Hockey Sticks ect.. Any ideas where I can get this.

And from what it sounds like, there is no bad experience between you and Imran. He asked you to help him out, with a product (new) that should not have problems, under warranty, and after not a very long time. I mean, does that really take much of your precious (right..) time? Especially since if you had used them on your car, and the same thing happened, you would have had the company send you a new bulb.

no they weren't installed in my car, they were never opened....go back and read my post....and yes there is a problem with him trying to contact me because they MUST be installed by a professional to honor warrenty....what should i do? he might have installed them wrong etc

Listen. Here's the solution. The antenna worked as far as the motor when it left. It was also not broken like in the pictures when it left. Do the claim, get it done and everyone will be happy. DHL obviously broke it because it was intact when it left my hands. Yes it had some rust pits, but there were no chunks out of it. The time period was also partially my fault because of my wife and the new baby were having problems back when this whole deal happened, so getting shipping on a car part was not a priority. Sorry. I believe it was only 4 months, not 6 as well, but that doesn't make it any better of a situation.

In the end, do the claim, it won't take long. I'm already sick of this thread.

I spoke with MIke on AIM and after showing him the pic of antena he agre wiht me that was the antena that came out of imran car. i have the whole conversation save up . I not gonna be blamig Mike for it bc its not his problem not his antena so i don't want to put Mike in the middle . so don't be telling me that im saying crap , and im not the only one as you can see having problems with that dude . I tryed working out wiht him and asking him so many times to send me 35$ so i can buy new tube for antena so it will work . he does not respont to that or my emails so that was the reason i had to brought it up on the forum.
