I wouldnt actually try this unless i had some good evidence but has anyone ever tried using ATF high friction modifiers in the crankcase instead(lubegard hfm)? reducing friction in the engine will increase horse power and mpg. i think my castrol synthetic 20w30 might already be doing about as good as its gona get any way. if there was somthing safe to use to decrease friction i'd think oil makers would be all over it.

BUT... oil companies have been forced by the EPA to reduce or eliminate some friction reducing additives because if oil is burned they make harsh emissions. I know for a fact that the amount of zinc allowed has been lowered because they can destroy a cat if oil burns

there are alot of additives like teflon aka "startup protection" out there that actually increase friction, clog filters and build up on non moving parts(slick 50 = teflon and 50wt oil LOL) Dupont actually said their teflon had no oil use due to this.

so anyone know any additives that actually reduce friction without any side effects?

Yeah, you probably heard that from me, the only location that I know for sure stocks the ATF additives is the one in Mission BC. I haven't looked for the oil additive though.

Royal Purple!!!!!!!!!!

Have you guys ever tried Royal Purple? Its a synthetic oil and I have been using it in my G1. Also Modified Magazine did an article on this stuff and they say its some of the best oil on the market, and after using it for almost a year myself I concour. They say it is supposed to increase engine life, horsepower, gas milage, torque. All I know is that it works. If you would like to know more about Royal Purple go to www.royalpurple.com. Also, the November, 05 issue of Modified Magazine has a full article on page 94. One of the other things I like about royal purple is the longer oil change intervals, the color of the oil is actually purple. One more thing go to www.trasko-usa.com and get one of the oil filters they manufacture. You're car will love you for it. I know mine does. Last but not least. My car has over 203,000 miles and counting. That include long trips, high speed runs, and a little racing and I have no problems out of this oil or my engine, I only wish I had used it sooner. Peace and Blessings. Bigs out.

Awesome, thanks a lot
I look forward to exploring mission; I've never been.
I'm not sure where you live but you might have a pennzoil location closer to you that sells the Lubegard products. Also you should probably phone that location first to make sure they have some in stock before you leave just in case. I've bought Lubegard twice from the Mission location and they seemed to have lots in stock but you never know.
