Unless you are able to find an HID kit with H4H bulbs, Your best bet is to get the H4H Polarg Miracle White Bulbs. These are some of the brightest non-HID bulbs that I have ever seen. These lights are brighter than some of the HID equipped BMWs and Mercedes that I have driven in Germany in the past year.

You can use the D2 based or 9006 (which is just rebased D2) but it will blind your oncoming traffic w/c is dangerous - (you don't want the other car hit you head on - knock on the wood). But it can be done by using a shield - well you have to built one. The shield should be on the bottom to prevent the high beam pattern and should be on front (or top of the bulb) to prevent excess glare. Without the shield, it is just like using your high beams. Polarg Miracle white 3900K have really good light output -- check the picture.

Polarg Miracle White 3900K H4H bulb - properly aligned.
