As long as all of that new refrigerant STAYS in. I do the same thing with mine - refill the refrigerant every few months for $11 and wait for it to all leak out.

 

my whole condensor has leaks in it. they said they woudl repair it for 250 OR replace it for 500. This is from a private place. But i can buy a condensor for like 150 bucks online.

the thing is though... they told me that might not fix the problem because other things might exist after that they can not detect prior... is this true?

That could be true, but usually the condensor is the first to go, given that it is exposed to the elements more than the other components. Get the condensor done, and take it from there...Good luck!

 

yeah i had them do a system check and my compressor and all kinds of other stuff was bad. and by the way r134 sucks.

 

I think you guys need to be careful when using those sealants. I heard that some of those sealants contain chemicals that mold the fittings together. Just a word of caution......Have fun.
