Including the car? just curious...

i bought my 94 gs 6-speed w/ 110k miles for $9k.
$150 for brakes
$450 for clutch
$250 for door
$0 for body work
$600 for paint
$150 for tint

not bad considering its got over 150k miles and is still worth over $9k...

Let's see, I only had my baby since Feb 02 and so far this is the grand total:

The Car - '95 Coupe 67k mi/$4500 (Auction)

Tires - $630 make that $1190 cause i'm getting some 17"s in a couple of weeks.

Rotors - $249

Rims - $1300

Oil Change - 2 so far...$58

Window Tinting - $185

Mesh Grille - $3 for the polymer stuff that I got from Lowe's that didn't work out. so let's add $60 more to that because i'm going to get it professionally installed.

Foglights and HID thing - $350 - $485

Lets see 11,300 for a 94 L w/ 83000 miles

1900 in parts in labor last week for:
New master brake Cylinder
New front left strut and CV boots for both sides
Oil change/tranny flush
New Radiator
and some other minor stuff.

plus 120 for a new tire.

90 for clear blinkers and bumpers
82 for an importtoys intake
220 for a p6300 head unit and my eurolites
200 for an autotek 800.2
and 150 for a sub i ordered in late january that i havent seen yet.
(amp and sub arent in yet, as you can see from my sig.)
i dont even want to add it up.

I really don't even wanna know because however much I have spent which has been plenty, there is always additional things I wish I could do if I had the money...so I've spent a buncha g's extra....that's good enuff! :D

1. Bought my 91L with 88,000 miles 2 years back for 8600 and have spent:
$1000 - on A/C fix
$800 - on 120K major service
$500 - on timing belt, etc
$500 - on some other stuff


Lot of money!!

2. Bought my 94GS almost 2 months back for $10000 with 104K miles and haven;t spent anything on that!

I love both of them!

I'm really embarrassed for saying this, but I've probably got everyone beat... here goes:

New hubs/axels - $1345
New Brake Rotots, Rebuilt Calipers, Pads - $560
New Wheels, Tires - $1100
New Exhaust - $340
New Intake - $210
New KONI's and GC's and Camber kit - $950
Timing Belt, Water Pump, 90K checkup, Clutch, Flywheel, Tranny Mounts - $1584 (only because I have Family at Acura Parts Dept... besides that, it'd be a $3100 job)
New Headunit (the one that I'm trying to sell - Y$1200 (Japan only)
New Fujitsu-ten 6 1/2's and 6x9's (all 3-ways) - $690 plus total rewire of car...
New Radiator - 3-row, aluminum - $410
New headlights, front bumper, front lip, hood, corner lights, and bumper lights - $2200 + paint work
New Trunk lid ad bumpre repaint - $600 (wanted it to look new)
New Shiftknob - yeaaaaah! - $70... Momo...

That's only some of the stuff... I have enough junk in my Garage in TN to build a new Legend Coupe front end and then some... I almost bought a 3.2L from the Acura dealer out of impuls yesterday, just to take it apart and play with it... if anyone needs it, I can still buy it and have it to you relatively soon...

Oh, yeah... you guys are really going to call me an idiot for this one... I paid $24,800 for my Coupe in 1999... it came with all service done, new wheels/tires (one wheel was knicked, so they replaced all of them and added new Michelins), and a new warranty that just expired... A lot of people say that I got ripped off, but then again, I was the only person in TN that had a 6-speed coupe for a long time. It took me 8 months to find this car, and when Gary Force Acura got one in, they knew who to call if they wanted to make money on it (me...)

All I can say is I paid $43,000, with tax and license for the car back in April of 1994.

I'll start to cry if I start mentioning the add ons.

Cost for buying new

I have been waiting for years for this question as I have been tracking my costs since the original purchase date!

I purchased my 6-speed coupe new in 1996 for $38,622:

Costs so far:
Depreciation $27,478
License $2,628
Maintenance: $5,548
Insurance: $2,940
Extras $875
Tires $2,368
Gas $8,524

Over $50,000 so far and worth every penny!!

yessir...I do not want to know..lol I know we have both, or ALL for that matter invested thousands into our vehicles.....but it pays off :D

I paid $15900 for 95L sedan at 67Kmiles w/ 24,000 miles extended warranty.

Weapon R intake: $147
Radiator: $100 deductible, woulda paid dealer w/o ext warranty: $800
Wheel Bearing hub+new master power window switch: $100 deductible, woulda cost $750
17" Rims and tires: $1300
Front powerslots rotors: $120
AEM brake pads set: $110
Brembo rotors: $435 ; gonna need another set of front pads after the powerslots.
Koni Reds: $485+$200labor
Timing belt job: $500
damaged VSS cable during shock install and diagnostic: $120
denso iridiums spark plugs: $70
Maintenance and fluid change: $200
and all that premium unleaded gas ?????????????

Purchased the car for $20,000(back in 1995). and have spent way over 10,000. Take into consideration, i've had the legend for about 7 years, and have gone through many stages, wheel's, parts.......paint.
