how much oil do you put in your car when you change it ??

i changed my oil a few days ago and i think i put too much in....about 5 qt of 5w-30.....its the first time ive changed my oil by myself so i didnt know....is it bad to put that much in ??

My '94 LS Sedan always takes 5qts with filter change.
