How to pull passenger carpet down to access ECU

Hello, I am new to this site. I am the original owner of a 1990 Acura Legend 4dr Moguette (whatever that means). I need to access the ECU. I tried pulling the carpet down but I can't pull Iit down enough to see the ECU. Is there something I have to remove before I can pull it down enough? It rained really hard here a few days ago and the street flooded and the water got inside my car, it now won't start. I wanted to see if the ECU got wet. my husband doesn't think so. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
