Disconnecting the battery will clear the memory but this procedure is not recommended friddis... memory should be cleared after the ignition is witched OFF by removing the appropriate fuse.
Remove the alternator sense fuse (7.5A) in the engine compartment fuse and relay housing, leave it out for atleast 10-15 seconds then reinstall, hope this helps
