I can't get this damn air out of my system!

This is getting annoying, it's gotten to the point i have to bleed my system for about 5 minutes to even get a portion of the air our, and then fill it back up with water, it's losing about 10% of water, which is just turning into air. I've checked for leaks and that's not doing it.

We've spent quite a bit of money trying to fix this problem, because it's causing over-heating and it's really annoying. Here's some things we've done.

  • Had the top end of the engine rebuilt.
  • Replaced the Heater Core Valve(Cracked)
  • Replaced the Upper Radiator Hose (It blew up)
  • Replace the water pump

So far these are the things we have done to try to get it running again, but recently we have found that if we keep it bled, the over-heating doesn't occur, but it seems like it only gets air when the car is going either really slow or stopped, and mainly... when it's off.

Any idea's on what i can do to stop the air from getting into my system, I love this car, and I plan to invest into it and keep it as long as possible, and so far this is the only issue that I have not been able to fix.

Have you tested the radiator cap? The line from the radiator to the overflow bottle? Verified that the cap on the overflow bottle is not cracked. When the engine gets warm it pressurizes and pushes the expanding fluid into the overflow tank (the difference between the hot and cold marks on the bottle). When the engine cools it should pull the coolant back into the radiator but it sounds like it is pulling in air instead based on your description.

When taking the car to a mechanic i was told that we should fill the "Overflow bottle" with water, because that's where the car would get it's extra water when it begins to lose water.

You really can't see the Hot/Cold lines on the bottle. Should I empty it? The line seems to be working fine, although we've lost so much that there isn't any coolant in the radiator right now, just water... Although it's only been like 2-3 days like that, I'm planning on flushing and adding coolant tomorrow.
3.5 is probably the easiest solution

Problem is I don't have much money right now, although I flushed the radiator, Twice. Then replaced it with 60/40 Coolant-Water mix. Car is running fine now, sitting a little under or directly at the Second Notch on the thermo, Although now my heater blows cold air D:<.... Colder then my AC.... Lol.

Anyhow, About how much are we looking at for a 3.5 swap considering I don't know enough to do the swap myself.
before you jump to buying a motor, was the o ring on the water passage pipe under the intake manifold replace? It doesn't come in the gasket kit. (has to be ordered from Acura).

If it's the original it's a good chance that's where you are catching air from/losing coolant.

I drained the blue coolant, and dropped in some green and the car has been running fine since.
